Status:  We originally claimed this lineage based on information in online Seminario family trees.  Upon obtaining access to the church records of Piura, we found that there were two sons of Antonio Velasquez Tineo who were both named Joseph Velasquez Tineo and who lived at the same time.  The Joseph Velasquez Tineo who married Maria Tomasa García was an illegitimate son.  His mother was María de Saucedo and therefore no connection to the Jofré family exists.   Details
